This took me a while!! I had in mind what I wanted to draw as soon as Spider-woman was requested, but i’ve been unable to do it no matter how many times i tried and evn looking for refs : / Finally changed my mind and went for another thing or i knew i would never do this pic xP
But at last she’s here! Jessica Drew in #15 for shaliara!
I did a different and more elaborate CGing than in the other palette drawings, but what the hell, i felt like it .____.
Hope you like it!
Jessica is the experienced soldier out on some of the spider army’s more dangerous missions, the success and failure of which will directly affect the outcome of the war. Spider-Woman #1 finds Jessica universe-hopping in an attempt to stay alive and one step ahead of the enemy. Then from issue #2 on, she’ll be deep undercover behind enemy lines trying to get hands on crucial intel.
Jessica has worn a lot of different hats over the years. She’s a super hero/spy/private eye/alien hunter. I like to think she keeps all of those hats in a closet somewhere and can throw any one on if the mood strikes. It all depends on what kind of trouble is currently staring her in the face.
Dennis Hopeless talks about the new Spider-Woman ongoing series —
Spider-Woman’s new series will be a direct offshoot of the Spider-Verse event. It seems Jessica is none too happy about being targeted by Morlun. The opening story arc will see her team up with fellow spider-powered heroine Silk (who just made her full debut in Amazing Spider-Man #4 this past week) on a mission that spans the multiverse.
